Got it — here’s the corrected version with “Empowered Women” instead of EmpoweRED:
The MASTER team successfully held the first workshop “Empowered Women for Participation in Public Life” at the Youth Center in Podgorica.
Young women gained essential knowledge and skills to recognise and eliminate gender stereotypes, sexism, and misogyny, as well as to better understand the role of tradition and patriarchy.
We discussed topics related to women in political and public discourse, the importance of understanding labour rights, inheritance rights, and recognising violence.
The lecturer emphasized how important it is to openly address and actively work on issues concerning women’s rights, particularly menstrual poverty, selective abortions, and mental health.
A special part of the workshop was dedicated to exploring differences between men and women in terms of social norms, what was expected of our predecessors, and what is expected of us today.
With very active participation from all attendees, we discussed which issues should be prioritised and addressed in order to truly become empowered.
The project “Empowered Women for Participation in Public Life” is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights @ministarstvo_ljmp_cg within the call “Gender Barometer in Montenegro.”
The content of the workshops is the sole responsibility of the Network for European Policies – MASTER.
