Anti-Discrimination Camp Launched at Ivanova Korita
The MASTER team has officially launched the “Bridge of Knowledge: Anti-Discrimination Camp” at Ivanova Korita ❗️🫵
📍The camp was opened by Ms. Andrea Popović, Executive Director of MASTER, who spoke about the importance of ensuring the rights of minority peoples and other minority national communities in Montenegro.
📍Popović emphasized the importance of improving non-institutional forms of support for members of minority communities in the fight against discrimination.
❗️📍For a society to function properly, mutual respect and tolerance are fundamental principles.
📍Following the presentation of the project goals, the distinguished lecturers highlighted that the camp will be an excellent opportunity for members of national minorities and young people to be educated about the negative impacts and consequences of discrimination on various grounds, to strengthen their capacity to recognize discriminatory behavior, and to become informed about the mechanisms available to them in the fight against discrimination.
📍The camp participants are young people from across Montenegro who, over the course of three days, will become true ambassadors and promoters of rights, with a special focus on minority rights.
📍Today, we continue the camp with topics such as anti-discrimination, minority rights, affirmative action, and many other important issues…
The project “European Practice for a Better Position of Minority Peoples” is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights through the call “Integration with the Identity of Minority Peoples and Other Minority National Communities in Montenegrin Society” in 2023.
