The Network for European Policies – MASTER has launched the implementation of the project “MASTER: An Opportunity for a New Beginning,” aimed at improving the living and professional capacities of young people without parental care in Montenegro. The project is implemented with financial support from the European Union and co-financing from the Ministry of Regional-Investment Development and Cooperation with NGOs of Montenegro, within the Youth Hub for WB&T network.
The project will last eight months, with activities carried out in Bijela (Herceg Novi) and Podgorica, focusing on young people aged 15 to 19 from the Public Institution Children’s Home “Mladost” in Bijela.
During the project, a number of activities will be organized to support the empowerment and social inclusion of young people, including:
- the implementation of eight workshops focused on developing soft and practical skills necessary for independent living and integration into the labor market;
- the provision of continuous mentoring support to participants throughout all phases of the project;
- the production of three podcast episodes to amplify the voices of young people and raise awareness about their experiences and challenges;
- the development of an analysis and a set of recommendations for improving youth employment and social protection policies;
- the presentation of these recommendations to relevant institutions and decision-makers in Montenegro.
The main goal of the project “MASTER: An Opportunity for a New Beginning” is to create a supportive environment in which young people without parental care receive practical support, relevant competencies, and the confidence needed for active participation in social and economic life.
The MASTER team believes that this project can be an important step toward building a more just and inclusive society in which every young person has a real opportunity for an independent and dignified start.
