On Europe Day, May 9, the MASTER team in Podgorica gathered numerous stakeholders at the forum “MASTER Towards the EU.”
With this forum, the ten-month project “MASTER Towards the EU” was officially concluded. The project gave young people a voice, opened dialogue, raised important questions, and offered answers. Most importantly, it showed that there is a generation of young people capable of leading Montenegro on its path toward the EU.
In the introductory part, the following speakers addressed the audience:
Ms. Andrea Popović, Executive Director of MASTER, who delivered a strong message:
“Young people should not only be participants – they must be the driving force of the European path. If they want the EU, they must build it – through every step, choice, and initiative they make.”
Ms. Biljana Papović, State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs, who stated:
“This process cannot succeed without sincere partnership between institutions and civil society. Together we build trust and together we move toward the EU.”
Project results were also presented, which speak for themselves: the MASTER podcast, designed to bring European values closer to young people and citizens, surpassed 250,000 views.
Thanks to clear messaging and the participation of top experts, it demonstrated that when we communicate clearly, young people listen.
The conference concluded with a panel discussion titled “EU Integration: A Process That Lasts… But For How Long?”
Panelists included: Bojan Vujović (Ministry of European Affairs), Danilo Kalezić (University of Montenegro), Jovan Bojović (NGO Juventas), and Anđela Pejović (NGO MASTER).
The panelists concluded that European integration is not solely the job of institutions. It requires the courage of young people, the energy of the community, and the perseverance of all of us.
The project “MASTER Towards the EU” was supported by the Ministry of European Affairs
