The Academy “Youth Activism Towards the EU!” has been launched.

The MASTER team officially launched the two-month Academy “Youth Activism Towards the EU!” last night at the Youth Center in Podgorica. This Academy is one of the key activities within the project of the same name, which aims to strengthen the capacities of young people by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and competencies for local-level activism.

During the first workshop, participants were introduced to the topics of the Academy, and we had the opportunity to hear their ideas, opinions, and expectations, as well as their views on numerous issues relevant to young people in Podgorica.

The diversity of ideas and perspectives shared during the two-and-a-half-hour discussion was highly inspiring and represents a strong foundation for future activities.

We also presented the activities already carried out within the project “Youth Activism Towards the EU!”, as well as the main goals we aim to achieve, in order to clearly define our vision and the contribution we plan to make for young people in the capital.

In addition, participants were introduced to the detailed Academy plan and the lecturers, who will guide them throughout February and March through sessions on project implementation, youth participation in decision-making processes, civic and youth activism, youth rights, EU integration, and more.

We would like to thank all participants for their enthusiasm and great energy during the first workshop, and we look forward to continuing the Academy in the same spirit—so that young people in Montenegro can become drivers of change and play a significant role in shaping the future of society and promoting European values.

The project “Youth Activism Towards the EU!” is supported by the Capital City of Podgorica through the Public Call for funding projects and programs of non-governmental organizations for 2023.
