Project “Explore and Inspire – Science for the Future”

We are pleased to present to you a new project of the Network for European Policies – MASTER, in partnership with Montenegro Robotics: “Explore and Inspire – Science for the Future”, which is supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation.

Montenegro faces challenges in science and innovation – low investments, outdated infrastructure and lack of resources affect young people’s interest in scientific careers. The consequence of this is the decreasing interest of young people in scientific careers, which can lead to stagnation and limitation of the potential of our society.

The project Investigate and Inspire – Science for the Future aims to improve research capacities, empower young people to get involved in scientific projects and contribute to the affirmation of science as the foundation of social and economic development. In the next 12 months, through a series of planned activities, we will strive to create a more favorable environment for young researchers and promote science as a career choice.

The key activities of the project include:

1.   Research and analysis of the situation, which will include the interests of young people, available resources, challenges they face and their recommendations for improving science in Montenegro, with examples of best practices from the EU.

  1. The three-day “Science for the Future” school, which will gather 30 young people from different municipalities of Montenegro, who will, through workshops, lectures and mentoring work, develop mini-projects and acquire practical skills.
  2. Podcast series “Explore and inspire – science for the future”, through which distinguished researchers, scientists and experts will share their experiences, personal stories and inspirational messages, bringing scientific topics closer to a wider audience.
  3. A documentary film, which will show the importance of science through real examples of research, the challenges of young researchers and their contribution to society.
  4. The National Forum, which will bring together young people, decision-makers, businessmen and representatives of the academic community for constructive dialogue, exchange of ideas and networking.

Montenegro has enormous potential, and our young people possess the talent and energy needed to transform society. Science not only provides answers to the key questions of the modern age, but also encourages critical thinking, innovation and sustainable development. By supporting young people in the field of science and research, we are building the foundations for a future in which society will progress and each individual will be able to realize their full potential.
