Forum “European Practice for the Development of Sport in Montenegro”

The Forum “European Practice for the Development of Sport in Montenegro” brought together representatives of institutions, sports professionals, and experts from various fields, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experiences, and best European practices for enhancing the sports system in Montenegro. The event served as a platform for open dialogue on both the challenges and the potential of sport as an important social resource.

The Forum was opened with an introductory address by Mr. Milan Jančić, Director General of the Directorate for Sports Infrastructure at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, who emphasized the Ministry’s continuous support for the development of sport, as well as the state’s clear commitment to improving sports infrastructure, strengthening systemic solutions, and enhancing conditions for participation in sport at all levels.

During the Forum, it was particularly emphasized that sport goes beyond competition—it represents a healthy lifestyle, an important tool for preserving both physical and mental health, fostering a sense of community, and strengthening social cohesion. Active and healthy young people are the foundation of a strong and resilient society.

The project “European Practice for the Development of Sport” is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, with the aim of contributing to the development of modern and sustainable sports policies in Montenegro.
