Conference held “Intercultural Bridge – Social Cohesion for Social Development”

Organized by MASTER, the conference of the project of the same name was held on July 8, 2025. In the previous months, the project brought together actors from the civil sector, institutions, and local communities with the aim of building a more inclusive and connected society.

The event was officially opened by Dr. Ljudmila Mila Popović from the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, who stated that understanding, dialogue, and cooperation are key to every sustainable development.

Andrea Popović, Executive Director of MASTER, emphasized that this project represents a response to the state’s strategic call – to jointly build a more resilient society free from discrimination through interculturalism and social cohesion.

The project results were also presented: a video series with 150,000 views on social media, the creation of the handbook “Intercultural Sphere,” and training sessions for young people across Montenegro.

The central part of the conference was the panel discussion “A Cohesive Society – A Precondition for Sustainable Development,” featuring distinguished speakers Mustafa Canka, Andrijana Radović, Miloš Milačić, and Ana Andrijašević, who opened important discussions on the role of education, culture, youth, and media in building bridges between communities.

The key message?

Interculturalism is not just a value – it is a path. A path toward a more stable, just, and resilient society.

The MASTER project has shown that change happens when we listen to each other, learn together, and build bridges – where walls once stood.

So let us not be boundaries that divide.

Let us be spaces that connect.

Let us be bridges.

And not only when it is easy – but especially when it is most needed.

The MASTER project is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
