The MASTER team is pleased to share impressions from the conference and the premiere of the documentary film held on July 17, 2025, at the Montenegrin Cinematheque in Podgorica.
The event brought together numerous participants – representatives of institutions, the civil sector, experts, activists, and young people – with a shared goal: the fight against discrimination and marginalization of LGBTIQ persons in Montenegro.
The opening remarks were delivered by:

Their messages were clear and powerful:
The fight against discrimination must be a shared responsibility.
Personal stories are the foundation of real change.
The documentary film “My Story for a Society Without Discrimination” was presented through honest and emotional testimonies of LGBTIQ persons, reminding us how important it is to listen, understand, and provide support.
After the screening, a panel discussion titled “Stories that Change: Politics, Practice, and the Everyday Lives of LGBTIQ Persons” followed, featuring:

“My Story” is not just a film. It is a call for change.
At a time when many are still invisible, giving space to authentic voices becomes an act of courage and responsibility.
This project reminds us:
That human rights must not be selectively distributed.
That every story has the power to raise awareness.
That together we can build a society where diversity is recognized, and dignity is guaranteed – for every person, without exception.
