Continuation of Day 2 Training – Inclusive Design: Removing Barriers, Creating Opportunities

Participants continued their work yesterday through expert analyses, personal experiences, and concrete recommendations aimed at building a more inclusive society.

The day began with a presentation by architect Valentina Pantović, who introduced a draft analysis of facility mapping and preliminary research findings related to the accessibility of buildings housing ministries and local government institutions. A particularly moving and inspiring part of the day was a discussion with Anđela Miličić, a disability rights activist, who shared her personal experiences, challenges, and the everyday barriers faced by persons with disabilities. The discussion opened important topics and encouraged an exchange of views among participants.

The afternoon session was dedicated to alignment with legislation and the recommendations of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, presented by Milena Krsmanović, an advisor at this institution. Through an interactive discussion, participants analyzed specific findings and proposals for improving the existing legal framework. The atmosphere was marked by a shared vision — a society where equal opportunities and accessibility are the standard, not the exception.

The MASTER project, “Inclusive Design: Removing Barriers, Creating Opportunities,” is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
