The first day of training within the project “Include.me – Inclusion in Practice” was held at Hotel Palas in Petrovac, bringing together teachers and professional associates from educational institutions across Montenegro. The training was organised with the aim of strengthening the knowledge, skills and competencies of education professionals in the field of inclusive education.
As part of the opening remarks, the participants were addressed by Aleksandra Kuč, representative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and Ksenija Klikovac, Social Inclusion Coordinator on behalf of NGO MASTER. They emphasised the importance of joint action by all relevant stakeholders in building an inclusive education system that recognises diversity, provides equal opportunities and ensures support for every child to reach their full potential.

During the first day of training, Ms Irena Rakočević, Director General of the Directorate for Protection and Equality of Persons with Disabilities, led sessions dedicated to the right to inclusive education and the legal framework in Montenegro, challenges and models of support in inclusive teaching, cooperation between schools, families and professional services, as well as the improvement of inclusive policies and practices in education.
Through interactive work, discussion and exchange of experiences, the participants had the opportunity to further improve their knowledge of inclusive education, analyse the challenges they encounter in everyday practice and exchange examples of successful and sustainable inclusive solutions.
The first day of training laid an important foundation for the continuation of work and further empowerment of education professionals in creating a supportive, accessible and inclusive environment in which every child has the opportunity to learn, develop and progress.
The project “Include.me – Inclusion in Practice” is implemented by NGO MASTER with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro.
