The Network for European Policies – MASTER is proud to present the Brochure “I choose life!”, created as part of a project dedicated to the prevention of the use of psychoactive substances among young people in Montenegro.
The research conducted for the purposes of this analysis points to worrying data: almost two-thirds of young people have experience with psychoactive substances, while more than half of respondents believe that occasional drug use is harmless. At the same time, as many as 76% of young people are not aware of the existence of free help lines, and a significant number of them do not know who to turn to in case of need.
These findings point to serious deficiencies in the availability of information, institutional support and educational programs aimed at young people. The document provides a comprehensive analysis of the experiences, attitudes and needs of young people, with a special focus on:
· reasons and risk factors that influence drug consumption, including stress, peer pressure and the digital environment,
· the level of information about the consequences and available forms of assistance,
· attitudes towards penal policy and trust in institutions.
In addition to the analysis of the current situation, the publication offers concrete and applicable recommendations for improving the prevention system – through the introduction of comprehensive education on mental health, strengthening the capacity of family and peer support, improvement of rehabilitation services and better visibility of available help resources.

· nivo informisanosti o posljedicama i dostupnim oblicima pomoći,
· stavove prema kaznenoj politici i povjerenju u institucije.
Pored analize postojećeg stanja, publikacija nudi konkretne i primjenjive preporuke za unapređenje sistema prevencije – kroz uvođenje sveobuhvatne edukacije o mentalnom zdravlju, jačanje kapaciteta porodice i vršnjačke podrške, unapređenje rehabilitacionih servisa i bolju vidljivost dostupnih resursa pomoći.
