Successfully implemented Retreat Camp “InovAkcija” in Bečići!

The European Policy Network – MASTER successfully organized a three-day retreat camp InovAkcija, held from February 24 to 26 at Hotel Mediteran in Bečići. The camp brought together 14 young participants from various municipalities across Montenegro, all interested in developing entrepreneurial ideas and social innovations.

The first day of the camp opened with introductory remarks by Ms. Nevena Radović, Head of the Directorate for Innovation at the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro, and Tara Serhatlić, Executive Associate to the Director of the European Policy Network – MASTER. The program began with participant introductions, giving everyone the opportunity to share their ideas and motivations for joining.

Through a series of working sessions, key topics were explored, including entrepreneurship, the challenges it faces, and the importance of ensuring that ideas are innovative, sustainable, and socially relevant. Participants worked with lecturers Andrijana Radović, an experienced entrepreneur, youth activist, and political scientist, and Uroš Bulatović, President of the Union of Young Entrepreneurs of Montenegro. Through discussions and practical examples, they provided insight into the real entrepreneurial environment in Montenegro.

Through intensive teamwork and mentorship support, participants developed and refined their ideas, tested conceptual solutions, and prepared three-minute pitch presentations. This process enabled them to evaluate their initial ideas from realistic, market-oriented, and social perspectives, with clearer goals and a better-defined potential impact.

The retreat camp laid a strong foundation for the further development of ideas within the Social Entrepreneurship Academy, which follows in the next phase of the project. During the Academy, participants will continue to elaborate and improve their concepts in close collaboration with mentors, through practical work, expert support, and networking, with the aim of bringing their ideas to a stage ready for implementation. The final stage of the program will have a competitive format, where participants will compete for the title of the best social innovation. The winner will, among other things, receive a €500 prize intended to support the further development of their idea.

The project “InovAkcija – from idea to innovation” is implemented by the European Policy Network – MASTER with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro.
