New MASTER project: “Empowered Women for Participation in Public Life”

Do you want to be Empowered too?

Are women in Montenegro empowered?
Will we—and when will we—take on a leading role in public life?

The MASTER team is implementing a project aimed at reducing gender-based discrimination by improving public perception of the importance of gender equality and women’s participation in decision-making in public life, while establishing a systematic approach to eliminating gender stereotypes and prejudices.

Through the implementation of this one-year project, the MASTER team aims to:

  • Raise public awareness of the principles of gender equality, while reducing gender stereotypes and prejudices;
  • Inform the public about rights related to the prohibition of gender-based discrimination and the importance of women’s role in decision-making processes;
  • Reduce hate speech against women in public and political life.

A key highlight of the project “Empowered Women for Participation in Public Life” is the organization of workshops in northern Montenegro on gender equality, as well as podcast episodes aimed at breaking down societal prejudices and stereotypes related to the position and role of women in Montenegro.

Women—follow us, because we are Empowered!

The project “Empowered Women for Participation in Public Life” is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights (@ministarstvo_ljmp_cg) through the call “Gender Barometer in Montenegro” for the allocation of funds to NGO projects/programs in the field of gender equality for 2023.
