The MASTER team today began the implementation of the training “Inclusive Design: Removing Barriers, Creating Opportunities”, within a project supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights. The first day was dedicated to familiarization with the legal framework and obligations arising from the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as well as to exchanging experiences and identifying barriers faced by persons with disabilities in their daily lives.
In the opening session, participants were addressed by Ms. Irena Rakočević, Director of the Directorate for the Protection and Equality of Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, and Ms. Andrea Popović on behalf of the MASTER organization.
Project coordinator Ksenija Klikovac presented the activities being implemented within the project “Inclusive Design: Removing Barriers, Creating Opportunities.” Legal expert Ana Andrijašević spoke about accessibility from a legal perspective, including European practices and the draft Guide for Accessible Buildings. The atmosphere throughout the day was marked by motivation, constructive discussions, and a shared commitment to achieving concrete change through knowledge and dialogue.
In the coming days, participants will acquire new knowledge and develop concrete recommendations aimed at improving accessibility and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
