MASTER Asks: Is “School in Nature” Really a School in Nature?

Successfully Conducted Three-Day Camp “Path to Independence” in Plužine

The three-day empowerment camp for youth from the Public Institution Children’s Home “Mladost” Bijela, held from November 21 to 23 at Etno Village Montenegro in Plužine, has been successfully completed, bringing three days filled with learning, support, growth, and inspiration.

During the program, young participants engaged in workshops, discussions, and practical exercises focused on independent living, financial independence, and social inclusion, with a strong emphasis on developing skills that help them confidently build their path toward adulthood and full integration into society.

The regular trainers at the camp were Andrea Popović and Andrijana Radović, with whom the participants had already collaborated through previously held workshops. Their continuity, dedication, and supportive approach contributed to creating a safe environment in which young people could openly learn and grow.

The program was further enriched by two guest lectures—
Stefana Vukmanović, a young entrepreneur and founder of a start-up, who shared his personal experience of launching his own ideas, and
Uroš Bulatović, President of the Union of Young Entrepreneurs of Montenegro, who spoke about support systems, opportunities, and the entrepreneurial mindset.

The young participants from Bijela proved to be exceptionally motivated, curious, and full of potential, making this camp particularly valuable and reaffirming the importance of investing in their empowerment. An atmosphere of mutual trust and cooperation accompanied all activities, while the final day was marked by the presentation of symbolic gifts thanks to the support of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.

We are proud to highlight that next year, through one of our new projects, we will once again organize activities in Bijela—primarily because of the children and young people themselves, whose potential remains the greatest motivation for continuing our work.

The project “Path to Independence – Empowerment and Integration of Children and Youth” is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Demography and Family.
