The camp will take place in mid-May in the northern region of Montenegro and will be an excellent opportunity for young people to learn about the negative impacts and consequences of discrimination on various grounds, strengthen their capacities to recognize discriminatory behavior, and become informed about the mechanisms available to them in the fight against discrimination.
The idea is for young people, through creative workshops and educational sessions, to strengthen their knowledge and become familiar with innovative approaches, while learning about social cohesion, respect, the protection of minority rights, and combating discrimination.
We expect that this activity will serve as a strong incentive for young people and help them better recognize the problems and harm caused by all forms of discriminatory behavior towards different nationalities, particularly for those groups directly affected.
Ultimately, through this activity, we aim to contribute to establishing an effective system for raising awareness among minority peoples and other minority national communities in Montenegro about their rights.
The organizer covers accommodation and meals during the camp, as well as travel costs to the camp location.
The call is open to young people (18–30 years old) from all over Montenegro, and the application deadline is Monday, April 29, 2024.
We especially encourage applications from young people who have not had prior experience and who are motivated to further empower themselves through interactive workshops in the process of building a more tolerant society, breaking down prejudices, and fostering respect for diversity.
