The Network for European Policies – MASTER has launched the implementation of a new one-year project titled “Be a MASTERmind – Science is Your Path”, aimed at strengthening the research capacities of young people in Montenegro, as well as systematically promoting science and scientific careers among youth.

The project focuses on fostering young people’s interest in research work, developing critical thinking, and raising awareness of the key role of science in social, technological, and economic development. Through carefully designed educational, research, and promotional activities, the project seeks to present science to young people as a realistic and promising career path.
The central component of the project is the MASTERmind Hub, an educational platform intended for young people who wish to develop research skills, exchange ideas, and enhance their knowledge with the support of mentors and relevant experts. Within the project, a call for the best research paper will also be announced, with the three most successful papers being awarded, further encouraging high-quality and innovative research approaches.
A special emphasis will be placed on promoting scientific role models and popularizing research work through the production of five video podcasts, as well as a documentary film about a MASTERmind researcher, which will highlight the challenges, motivations, and importance of engaging in science in contemporary society.
The final activity of the project will be the national forum “Be a MASTERmind”, which will bring together young people, researchers, decision-makers, and representatives of relevant institutions, with the aim of opening dialogue on the future of science and the position of young people within Montenegro’s research system.
Science represents one of the key drivers of sustainable development, innovation, and social progress, and investing in young researchers means investing in the future of society. The project “Be a MASTERmind – Science is Your Path” seeks to contribute to the creation of a supportive environment in which young people will recognize science as a tool for addressing contemporary challenges and actively participate in building a knowledge-based society.
The project “Be a MASTERmind – Science is Your Path” is implemented by MASTER in partnership with Montenegro Robotics, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation.
