Career Counseling for Youth: Writing a CV and Motivation Letter
The third module of the #OneStopShop career counseling program has been successfully completed, where young participants mastered the skills of writing a CV and a motivation letter.
Trainers and mentors from the Okta Center @oktacentar worked with the participants and explained:
- How to write a concise and well-structured CV that presents them in the best light
- How employers view their experience as a list of their capabilities
- How to show future employers that they are individuals willing to learn and develop their potential in all situations
- How to focus on achieved results within the duties and responsibilities they had in previous positions
- The importance of remembering that every team values individuals who achieve results, contribute from their perspective, and support company growth
Our mentors from MASTER guided the participants through writing a motivation letter, emphasizing:
- That it is an opportunity to personally address the employer
- That the role of the motivation letter is to clarify and complement the information in their CV
- That, especially among candidates with similar qualifications, a motivation letter can be decisive in the selection process, as it helps distinguish them from others
- The importance of being well-informed about the company and the position before writing the letter
- That the letter should clearly explain what motivated them to apply and why they are the right candidate for the job
