The Program Coordinator at MASTER, Milutin Vuković, appeared last weekend on TV7 (@tv7.me) in the show “Za dobro jutro”, where he spoke about the activities within the project “Youth Activism Towards the EU!” and how European values and policies are being applied in Montenegro.
Vuković used the opportunity to present the activities carried out so far within the project and to announce the Academy “Youth Activism Towards the EU!”, which represents the educational component and one of the key activities of the project. The Academy will take place during February and March at the Youth Center in Podgorica.
At the same time, he presented the Academy’s plan and program, inviting all interested young people to take part, connect with their peers, and learn more through engaging workshops about youth activism, EU integration, civic participation, rights, project management, and many other relevant topics.
Vuković also referred to the results of the research conducted within the project, which focused on the position and needs of young people in Podgorica. He highlighted that the main challenges they face include unemployment, limited opportunities for youth, lack of activism, insufficient involvement in decision-making processes, a lack of available content for young people in the capital, and political representatives who do not adequately represent their interests.
The discussion also covered European policies and the ways in which MASTER contributes to Montenegro’s EU integration process and the implementation of these policies.
It was emphasized that through all project activities and campaigns, the intention is to bring EU best practices to Montenegro and promote European values, with the aim of reaching these standards in the near future and applying them consistently.
Finally, through this and similar projects, MASTER will continue to strive to ensure that young people in Montenegro become drivers of change and play a significant role in shaping the future of society, while promoting European values, social justice, sustainability, and equality.
