Project “European Practice for the Development of Sport in Montenegro”

MASTER is pleased to announce the launch of a new one-year project, “Free Access to Information for Transparent Public Administration,” supported by the Ministry of Public Administration.

The project focuses on improving the implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information (FAI) by obligated institutions, as well as strengthening the capacities of law users.

The main objective is to ensure the proper exercise of the right to access information and the availability of open data, while highlighting effective legal solutions in the field of free access to information adopted in European Union member states.

The implementation of the project will also contribute to specific goals reflected in the education of public administration employees and the enhancement of executive transparency.

Key activities in the upcoming period include conducting public opinion research on citizens’ satisfaction with the transparency and openness of public administration bodies. In addition to the research report, we will also prepare an analysis of the current situation.

One of the most important activities of the project involves training civil servants to better understand the benefits of open public administration, particularly in applying existing laws and standards in line with EU practices.

In addition, we plan to produce a publication that will include citizens’ recommendations, create an educational film titled “FAI for Transparent Public Administration,” and organize info days and educational workshops in the northern, central, and southern regions of Montenegro.

Finally, we will hold a roundtable to present the results and key achievements, and to foster dialogue with representatives of institutions and organizations aimed at improving transparency in areas related to free access to information.

We believe that the efforts invested in this project, drawing on best practices from EU member states, will contribute to improving the current level of transparency in public administration.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Public Administration under the call “Public Administration Accessible to All.”
