MASTER Asks: Is “School in Nature” Really a School in Nature?
The Network for European Policies – MASTER, with the support of BIRN and the Civic Alliance, is conducting the research “Is ‘School in Nature’ Really a School in Nature?” Our goal is to gain a clearer insight into how these programs are organized: who implements them, what the activities look like, whether the locations are appropriate, and to what extent these opportunities are accessible to all students. The research will also examine the transparency of the process, including the selection of agencies and any irregularities that may affect the quality of implementation.
We consider this an important issue because education is the foundation of every society, and “schools in nature” represent a valuable and irreplaceable part of it. They are meant to complement formal education—offering children the opportunity to learn through experience, exploration, and time spent in nature. For this reason, we want to understand whether this purpose is truly being fulfilled today and how it can be improved.
We are convinced that the quality of education can only be improved through joint effort—by sharing information, valuing experiences, and remaining open to improving existing practices. Your contribution to this research is therefore of great importance.
We kindly invite all parents of children attending primary or secondary school to take a few minutes to complete a short survey. Your responses will help us create a clearer picture of the current situation and provide concrete recommendations for improvement – Survey: ANKETA
All responses will be completely anonymous and used exclusively for the development of a policy paper, which will be published and publicly available upon completion of the research.
Thank you in advance for your time, trust, and contribution to improving the quality of our children’s education.
